Sr Plant Operations Manager

2nd shift (3:00pm to 1:00am)

** Must have food manufacturing experience **

Worksite location: Boise Idaho, must be able to reasonably commute or relocate to the Boise ID area.

We are seeking an experienced Sr Plant Operations Manager to lead and oversee the manufacturing processes within our facility. This key leadership role is responsible for driving production efficiency, quality, and team performance across various departments, including Mozzarella, String, Shred, RSPC, and Whey. As the Sr Plant Operations Manager , you will be responsible for the overall management and direction of our manufacturing operations. You will ensure that production performance, volume, and quality objectives are met through the implementation of efficient manufacturing methods and effective team management. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, focusing on reducing waste and labor costs.
  • Direct manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Oversee adherence to all safety and regulatory standards, including FDA, USDA, OSHA, and GMP requirements.
  • Monitor and report on manufacturing performance, presenting corrective actions and adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure the safety of all personnel by continually inspecting processes and making necessary adjustments to improve both safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure smooth coordination across all manufacturing units.
  • Explain labor cost variances and productivity metrics to senior management.
  • Support equipment maintenance and ensure adherence to GMP, GSP, FSSC, and QC policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Plant Director in preparing and executing annual budgets and capital projects.
  • Drive employee relations efforts, maintaining a positive and safe work environment.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products.
  • Ensure the successful completion of department-specific initiatives, including capital projects.
Education/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or technical school required.
  • 3–4 years of relevant experience, in food production.
  •   In-depth knowledge of OSHA, USDA, HACCP regulations (Plant, State, and Federal) .
Skills/Abilities:
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical skills with a basic understanding of algebra.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Worksite location: Boise Idaho, must be able to reasonably commute or relocate to the Boise ID area.

Salary: $115k to $125k
