The Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled Linux Engineer to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing Linux environments, automation, networking, and cloud-based technologies. This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining high-availability systems while ensuring robust security, scalability, and performance.

- Location: Las Vegas, NV
- Duration: 12 Month Contract
Key Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) with a focus on performance tuning, updates, and patch management.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or similar languages to streamline system operations.
- Implement and manage configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Monitor and troubleshoot networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, to ensure system reliability and connectivity.
- Ensure system security by adhering to best practices and addressing vulnerabilities.
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS or Azure, with expertise in containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Oversee backup solutions (e.g., NetBackup) and disaster recovery planning to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Utilize monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash) to maintain system health and troubleshoot issues.
- Design and manage high-availability systems, load balancing, and scalable infrastructure to meet business needs.
Required Skills: - Proficiency in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
- Strong scripting and automation capabilities using Bash, Python, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Understanding of networking protocols and system security principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of backup and recovery tools and strategies.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications: - Industry certifications such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), CompTIA Linux+, or Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Requirements: - Must obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming License.
